• NMR Platform
  • The NMR platform of our lab contains six superconducting NMR spectrometers, of which three Bruker AVANCE IIITM 400 MHz Digital Superconducting NMR Spectrometers and one JEOL AL-300 FT-NMR Spectrometer are available for use to all staff and students of the university 24 hours a day. Prior to first time use, new users must obtain training and pass the test in order to obtain the access to the NMR spectrometers.
  • IIntroduction to the instrument:

    1. Bruker AVANCE III 600 MHz Digital Superconducting NMR Spectrometer

    Bruker AVANCE III 600 MHz Digital Superconducting NMR Spectrometer was installed and debugged in late June, 2011 and has been put to use at the present. The spectrometer is equipped with ultra-shielded magnet, a 5mm CPTCI triple resonance inverse detection cryoprobe, Z-axis pulsed field gradients, ATM automatic tuning/matching system and a variable temperature unit. As sensitive as a common 800MHz NMR spectrometer, the instrument boasts signal-to-noise ratios of 6761:1 for 1H and 1141:1 for 13C, and can satisfy the needs of NMR studies of micro-sample in solution.

    2. Varian INOVA 500MHz superconducting NMR-Spectrometer

    Varian 300 MHz superconducting NMR-Spectrometer is equipped with 5mm ID/PFG (inverse detection) and 5mm SW (direct detection) probes, Z-axis pulsed field gradients and a variable temperature unit.

    3. Bruker AVANCE IIITM 400 MHz Digital Superconducting NMR Spectrometer (Three sets)

    They’re equipped with ultra-shielded magnet, double radio frequency channel, 5 mm BBFO-PLUS probe, Z-axis pulsed field gradients, ATM automatic tuning/matching system and a variable temperature unit, one of which is equipped with a microprocessor-controlled 60-sample autosampler and 60-sample tube adapter.

    4. JEOL AL-300 FT-NMR Spectrometer

    It is equipped with multinuclear probes and variable temperature units and can conduct one-dimensional and two-dimensional pulse test on the nuclei of 1H, 13C and 31P.
  • Test content:

    1. One-dimensional and multi-dimensional NMR experiments on nuclei of 1H, 13C, 19F, 31P and 15N.

    2. Structure identification and confirmation of organic synthetic compounds and natural products; tracking reaction process; reaction mechanism studies.

    3. Variable temperature experiments to obtain dynamic information of molecules (temperature range: -100 ℃ ~ 150 ℃)

    4. Studies on the interaction between drug molecules and biomolecules; studies on the structure and function of biomacromolecules with important biological significance.

    5. NMR research on micro-sample in solution.
