　　This seminar topic： would cover the pre-clinical development of Biologics, giving some background as well on the biotech arena from industry point of view.

　　Biography

　　Prof. Andreas Baumann is Principal Scientific Expert for Biologics within Global Early Development at Bayer Healthcare in Berlin, Germany, where his responsibilities cover the global preclinical pharmacokinetic development of biologics. He has 20 years’ experience in drug development in the pharmaceutical industry including small molecules and for the last 10 years focused on non-clinical development of biologics. Prior his present obligations he was heading the Research Pharmacokinetic Department at Schering AG, Berlin. In parallel, he is Professor of Pharmacology & Toxicology, lecturing at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University Greifswald, Germany.

　　He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles; scientific text book articles and is co-editor of Pharmacokinetic Challenges in Drug Discovery (Springer, 2002).
